In 1950s Lima, a Catholic all-girls boarding school stands on top of a cliff above the Pacific Ocean. Ana, 16, the devout leader of the school, secretly mortifies her body in her obsessive pursuit of holiness. When Rebecca, a rebellious foreigner arrives at the school, Ana’s authority starts to crack. As fascination turns into jealousy and desire clashes with faith, Ana must confront her own beliefs.

In einem katholischen Mädchen-Internat im Lima der 1950er Jahre unterzieht die 16-jährige Ana ihren Körper heimlichen Kasteiungen. Sie strebt obsessiv danach, eines Tages Heiliggesprochen zu werden. Als die rebellische Rebecca an der Schule eintrifft, beginnt Anas Fassade zu bröckeln.
